About the Office
Michael C. Stewart, D.C., C.C.S.P. is the director and sole owner of Dr. Michael C. Stewart,
PC, a chiropractic practice that specializes in sports injuries and family chiropractic care. An
emphasis is placed on wellness, disease prevention, and individualized care. Attention is given to
the patient’s health needs and not only on the natural suppression of symptoms.
Although a comprehensive evaluation of a practice member’s lifestyle is addressed, this is only
adjunctive to the chiropractic, spinal adjustment which is the main form of care performed in the
office. The chiropractic adjustment is a manual or mechanical procedure that helps slide specific
bones in the spine back into place to allow the body to express its full health potential. This is
achieved because once the bones are back in place pressure is removed from the nerves that
supply the body’s tissues and organs with vitality. Traditional chiropractic philosophy, as
opposed to insurance limitations or symptoms, is used as the determining factor for care.
Dr. Stewart uses a diverse approach when restoring a practice member’s health. A number of
adjustment techniques are available based on the patient’s needs and comfort. Other forms of
care provided in the office include massage, stretching, muscle stimulation, ultrasound, laser
therapy, temperature therapy, spinal traction, self-help exercise training, and lifestyle
recommendations. These forms of care are commonly used in the beginning of a care program
and with our sports injury patients. However, in addition to the chiropractic adjustment, our
wellness patients enjoy the feeling of being massaged and stretched on a regular basis.
Our front office is run by Ronni Gorman, a seven year chiropractic veteran who brings with her
the ability to answer all your questions about difficult insurance issues efficiently and accurately.
She is a team player that enjoys being a part of an environment that prides itself on making and
keeping people healthy.

We are “in-network” with most plans and Ronni can assist you in finding out the details of your
policy. However, it is strongly recommended that you become very familiar with your coverage
so there are no financial surprises during the course of your care. On occasion issues will arise
that could not be anticipated and are addressed in a courteous and professional manner.
Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.
